Five Minute Friday: Tired

Hola! Today I’m joining the Gypsy Mama and her Five Minute Fridays.

Rules are: We write for only five short, bold, beautiful minutes. Unscripted and unedited. We just write without worrying if it’s just right or not. Won’t you join us?

[start]

Tired, what an appropriate theme for this week. I am tired. Tired of living my life in limbo. Tired of having to wait for necessary changes. Tired of having the fun sucked out of the things I used to enjoy. Actually, I just plain tired.

But you know what? Even with all of that, I am certain that tired, my kind of tired, is simply a state of mind.

I could be physically tired. I could be forced to haul fish everyday while I am treated like a piece of property. I could be tired of feeling unloved – waiting and waiting and waiting for my precious sponsor to send me even the shortest of letters. I could be oh so much more tired.

So, for now, I try my best to remember, I’m not really that tired.

Thanks to Gypsy Mama for use of the button.

Hey! I’m popping over from Gypsy Mama’s site. What a wonderful post! It’s something I can completely understand and relate to – I’m feeling the same way right now. I hope you get less tired!

Came over from the Gypsy Mama’s place. This post really helped me to realize that I could be so much worse off in my state of tiredness. I am thankful for his ever present strength in my life.

The way God has opened my eyes to align with His in the past few years has also put so much into perspective as well — I see life so much differently than I used to, and find I have little to complain about, and everything to be grateful for, even in the difficulties.
