Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
With only 5 days until Christmas, you wouldn’t think it’s too late to be thinking about Valentine’s Day, but for those of us with Compassion Sponsored children, Valentine’s Day cards and greetings need to be getting in the mail ASAP to make it in time.
Thankfully, there are several resources out there for those of us to tend to remember upcoming holidays at the last minute.
- Sharon Sobczak on OurCompassion has a wonderful assortment of documents she’s typed up for her sponsored children that explain numerous holidays and traditions. She has also been kind enough to post these documents on her OurCompassion profile, and encourages other sponsors to download and send them to their own sponsored kids.
- There is also a free printable from Father’s Love Letter that is a compilation of Bible verses that form an intimate letter from God to each of His Children. The letter is available in 97 languages!
- I found some Valentine coloring sheets at Activity-sheets.com, there is also a cute coloring page here if you have English-speaking children.
(Sorry about the shadow on the photo) But, as you can see, Helen Angela also got a letter written on Valentine’s Scrapbooking paper, Sharon’s Valentine’s Day history, and A Father’s Love Letter. Additionally, the kids at Awana made several Valentine’s Day Cards to send to her.
* On a Mail Call note: No new letters this week. But, in addition to these Valentine’s Day packets, I did mail out Christmas Post-cards to all of our Awana Clubbers and Leaders 🙂 (Postcards from Vistaprint.com)
