I’m joining the Gypsy Mama and her Five Minute Fridays. Rules are: for only five short, bold, beautiful minutes. Unscripted and unedited. We just write without worrying if it’s just right or not. Won’t you join us?
Today’s Five Minute Friday topic is trust, and my mind is blank. So I’m trusting my fingers to complete this post without the use of my brain. Hopefully it will turn out ok….
I sit in my new office, looking out the window and praising God for the move and the view. I do my best to remember to trust in Him when I feel out of sorts, and although it has taken a year, He has provided.
And I have another example of His love and care for me.
Two weeks in a row, when I’ve had a bad day, I’ve gone home to cream colored envelopes in the mail (letters from my Compassion Sponsored Children). He knew I needed that particular pick-me-up on that particular day. He reminds me to trust. (more about my new letters soon, promise.)
And yet, it’s still hard to trust. Hard to let go.
It’s that good girl in me – the one that wants to be in control, to have things perfect. The one that doesn’t trust anyone else to do it properly. And while I’m battling to get her out the door, she is just as stubborn as I am.
And in the end, it’s a God thing.
And I have to TRUST that it will all be ok.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
