Project Life: Week 8

ProjectLifeWeek8Spread1ProjectLifeWeek8Spread2ProjectLifeWeek8Detail1This week was busy, hectic, & stressful. And I’m afraid I’m in for a few more like it. When I found this “Punch Today in the Face” quote on instagram, I knew I had to print it and stick it in the book.

I’m really enjoying my yoga class – and totally using it as an excuse to paint my toes in fun designs. Unfortunately this week’s class was canceled due to icy weather.

ProjectLifeWeek8InsertDetailWe experienced a smallish ice storm late in the week that left a beautiful layer of glass on all of the trees, and fortunately caused no major damage. To document the ice storm, I printed off several of my instagrammed photos directly to Walgreen’s using the printicular app for my iphone. I then slipped them into a Design I page protector, added some thickers, and called it done.

ProjectLIfeWeek8InsertFrontI also signed up for Postcrossing a couple of weeks ago – an online site where you can register to send and receive postcards from all over the globe. This week I got my first card in the mail – it traveled all the way from Iowa.

ProjectLifeWeek8PostcrossingJessica and I went out Saturday night for drinks and food. I got an amazing Tom Collins – love those. Sunday I spent the day dreaming of my spring garden and planning what to plant.

I’ve also been reading up a storm & totally taking advantage of my local library’s online book reservations.

A few other highlights from the week:

  • I mailed postcards to Russia
  • I called in to a Compassion Advocates conference about coaching and goal setting as it relates to ministry
  • I sewed many a Dr. Who tea towel & began dreaming of more sewing projects

Did you have a calm or stressful week? How do you combat stressful days/weeks?

Thanks. I’m really loving Printicular – it’s making my photo printing super easy. I upload in the mornings and pick them up on my lunch break.

    Hi there,
I love the pink paper and wondered if it was a part of the seafoam kit? I am just going to order some materials after quite a few years away from scrapbooking. I also love your journaling and wondered if you used the Zig pen on the photos or the slick writer. Love your pages, they’re stunning.

Hi! Thanks so much! The pink paper isn’t in the seafoam kit, it’s actually the back of the bicycle paper from echo park paper that I used in week 7. You can find it here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009MRJQPM/
Also, I use the slick writer to write on photos and the zig to write on cardstock or regular paper. I’ve been SUPER pleased with the slick writer’s quality and highly reccomend it for writing on photos. Let me know if you have any more questions 🙂 and have fun shopping for supplies! That’s one of my favorite parts!

Thanks so much for the reply. I am in NZ, so will have to see if the local suppliers have these particular pens as I’m not sure Amazon ships products other than books here. I think I’m going to go for either the Seafoam kit or the Clementine kit. Decisions… At the moment I feel a little undecided and not sure where to begin. I’ve got the pages… so that’s a start!

No problem 🙂 I’ve used both the clementine and the sea foam kits. I used the clementine for a travel album and it was perfect for that, but I prefer the sea foam kit for everyday stuff. If you’re really torn, and can wait a bit or are interested in going with the digital kit (and having the pages printed out) I’d suggest the Jade kit. It’s like a perfect mix between Clementine and Sea Foam.
