Project Life: Week 11

Again, busy work weeks lead to few “during the week” photos, and the entire right spread is comprised of photos taken on Saturday.

I was able to go back to yoga this week and, as always, loved it. I can really tell when I’ve missed a week by my stress level alone.
I also finally finished my triangle lap quilt. I’m so happy with it, and can’t wait to get started on more quilting projects! Even Jager approves of the new throw.

Saturday was gorgeous and a fantastic day to work in the yard, which is exactly what I did.

I spent a good portion of the day re-planting numerous bulbs that my grandmother allowed me to dig out of her beds and transplant into mine. Dad and I also built two permanent raised beds at either end of our straw-bale garden to house asparagus, carrots, and other root veggies.

Finally, Dad was super excited to get a new grill this weekend, and we broke it in with some delicious Catalina marinated chicken tenders and garlic asparagus.

A few other highlights from the week:

  • I read a fantastic book by Neal Shusterman called, UnWind
  • I found a great “animal” drawing at Awana
  • I spent several nights burning my “stress relief” eucalyptus and mint candle
  • I got my second postcard from postcrossing – this time it’s from Brazil!

Thank you, Denise! I use an app on my phone to make the collages and then print them straight to Walgreens with a second app – makes life so much easier 🙂
