Project Life: Week 12

This week was surprisingly snowy. After all the beautiful weather last week, and all the work I was able to get done in the garden, to see snow this week was less than welcome. However, it was nice to be able to go in to work a bit late (and let the roads clear-up).ProjectLifeWeek12SnowDetailProjectLifeWeek12JagerThis weekend Dad and I went back up to Biggers to pick up his finished quilt – and while we were there I bought this amazing Hoosier cabinet. We’re going to re-finish it, but all in all, it’s in great shape. I’m super excited to get it restored and in its new home: my dining room. The cool thing about this cabinet is that the flour sifter is still there and in working order. (It’s hidden in that top-left cabinet – don’t worry, blog post on restoration to come)ProjectLifeWeek12Hoosier

A few other highlights from the week:

  • My Executive Director bought the office a round of slushies as a thank-you after several stressful weeks for everyone
  • I found my favorite ice-cream back in stock at Kroger (which is both good and bad)
  • Dad’s quilt is 100% complete! Picked it up from the quilter this week and am super pleased with the results.

Thanks, Heather! I really like how the Wednesday/Thursday/Friday photo came out, too. I’m pretty sure I’ll be doing more of those collages once I get my garden planted.

I know, right?! I’m pretty excited to dig into the restoration process – but, unfortunately, I’m still waiting on the cabinet to be delivered. Should be here tomorrow… which means I smell a weekend project! 😉
