On Monday I drove to a couple of the southern most counties my office serves – clearly my gps was not up for the drive – seeing how it lead me down a gravel road and proceeded to tell me to be prepared to park my vehicle and walk the remaining 500 yards to my destination. Yeah, not going to happen.
I’ve got one insert this week, chronicling the planting of the garden at the office. Like the other inserts I’ve done, I used flag-clips from Target to set off the edge. I also scored big at Target dollar spot this week and grabbed lots of stellar kraft stickers & cute paperclips. On Saturday, Dad and I drove to our local nursery and purchased all the plants for our home garden. We always look for tomato plants that are beginning to produce because 1) we’ll have tomatoes faster & 2) you know the plant is healthy. After a fairly important meeting at work on Thursday, I came home, put on my garden boots, and watered the bales. The photo of my boots and dress makes me laugh. I love this tulip – but I’m not sure what kind it is….anyone know?
A few other highlights from the week:
- I planted several of my elephant planters (hello flea market finds) with gorgeous succulents
- The tulips were in full bloom down our front walk
- A neighborhood stray (cutest stray cat ever) decided to help me weed the front walk
- Mom’s birthday was this week & I wrapped her presents in Snoopy ribbon (She’s a big Peanuts fan)
