I took a slightly different approach to documenting this week. The entire left side is dedicated to VBS and the right side (with the exception of one photo) is reserved for my trip to Harrison/Branson. I didn’t take many photos in Harrison, but I love how this layout turned out.
I knew going in to VBS that this week’s layouts would feature it heavily – since I had little time to think about anything else outside of work. So, I made sure to get some shots of the room decor and used the timer cam app on my phone to capture a couple of group photos.
I’ll totally admit that I bribed the kids here and agreed to one goofy photo in exchange for one good photo – and wouldn’t you know it, both photos are fabulous. I liked them both so much that I printed a copy of each for every student in the class. (You’re welcome scrapbooking moms 😉 )
The only photo not related to VBS or my weekend getaway is the one above. On Friday, Libby and I made a quick run to the local college’s horticulture sale and I found the most amazing Wandering Jew hanging basket for only $10. It was perfect for our back porch, and has since made itself at home there.
I really thought I was going to have some difficulty documenting my weekend trip without very many photos, but the addition of its own title card, and a couple of well placed journal/filler cards really rounded out the spread nicely.
A few other highlights from the week:
- Nikki’s pool is awesome. The end.

***I get a lot of questions about the mini photo collages I use in my spreads. To make them, I use the frametastic iPhone app set to the postcard size. I take & process 100% of my photos using just my phone; and most of the time, I print straight from my phone to Walgreens via the Printicular app.
