Project Life: Week 30

We’re still playing catch-up on Project Life Layouts over here – this week, it’s the last week of July. Gah – I’m so behind on sharing these. Thankfully, I am completely caught up on making them. I need to just sit down and block out some time to put these posts together…(unfortunately, this post writing/sharing is my least favorite part of the process… but I love seeing others’ layouts, so I think the un-fun writing is worth it.)

This week I had lots of photos, and in an effort to crank out several spreads in an afternoon, I went a bit lighter on embellishments – but I don’t miss them.ProjectLifeWeek30Right

Also, lots of cat photos – because that’s what happens when you think you’re going to be short on Project Life photos for the week. ūüėČPLWk30Birds

We’ve had a ton of finches eating at the feeder outside our living room window lately. Shinobi is¬†all over it. Seriously, she spends hours “chirping” at the birds, and generally trying her best to get to them. It makes for great entertainment – for her and us.PLWk30PassionFlower

We have this awesome flowering vine at work – I’d never seen flowers like it – and after photographing it, took to instagram to identify the plant. Turns out it’s a Passion Flower – and is now on my wish list for my own yard.PLWk30Tunnel

There’s this awesome tunnel in my hometown that connects Main Street to a rear parking lot – and I¬†loved¬† to take it when I was little. I had all but forgotten about it until I had to use it this week. I just love how hidden but not hidden it is.
PLWk30ViewFinally, I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the twilight sun shining on the birdbath – the lighting just makes me happy and reminds me of summer.

A few other highlights from the week:

  • Harvested the second Cucumber & 2 asparagus this week – awesome!
  • Vines are totally taking over the front fence – which means I have a ton of flower bed clearing/cleaning to do.
  • Old water towers are always great.

This is beautiful! Definitely something I’m going to look into doing. I love keeping a journal but mostly I just scrapbook since I find it much easier and nicer to keep something to look at than read.
