Not a ton happened this week, but I did get the chance to visit my Maternal Grandmother’s Lakeside Cabin. I spent many summer weekends with my family at that old cabin – and I’m happy to be able to have some photos of it. My grandmother is in the process of trying to sell the property, making it a perfect time to photograph the exterior.
I ended up with so many great photos that I used an insert to fit them all in (Design C cut in half), and, as I do with all of my inserts, I trimmed the edge with washi to make it visually noticeable.
I was also blessed with some pretty terrific mail from Josué: a picture of his house! Photographs from Compassion kids are rare, and a photo of thier house is even more special. It blew my mind that he would send me such a precious thing. That Josué, he has a heart of gold, and I wouldn’t trade him for the world.
A few other highlights from the week:
- I started packing for Ecuador this week – and quickly filled up most of the available space with gifts….
- We harvested an eggplant from the garden at work – though I think we may have been a bit trigger-happy, and pulled it too soon.
