This is one of my favorite layouts. I took full advantage of the black and white theme found in many of the Midnight Core Kit cards, paired them with a few key Seafoam cards, and really got my photos to pop.
As far as what actually happened this week, I finally got my trip guide for Ecuador (with less than a month until the trip). It answered a TON of questions, but I so wish I had gotten it sooner. I’m definitely a planner and keeping this information from me was stressing me out.
I also bought a really funky looking zoom lens for my iphone from Photojojo specifically for my trip to Ecuador – and it arrived at my doorstep this week. Overall, I’m really impressed with its high quality photos. It can be a bit cumbersome to use – especially if you’re like me and do not want to put your phone in their special (and somewhat flimsy) case to take the photo. Nonetheless, I found it to be a good investment and relatively inexpensive.
A few other highlights from the week:
- The mystery vine bore fruit – and turns out, it’s cantaloupe (not pumpkin…)
- I seriously miss being a handbook leader in Awana – Next year I think I’ll go back to it.
- Ecuador is just under 22 days away!
- My friend Nikki’s birthday was this week and I mailed her this awesome green ceramic owl cookie jar that I found at a yard sale. She loved it!
