For week 39, I inserted a quick note about the trip, a final “to-do” list, and a 12×18 photo from my first full day in Ecuador. I’ve been hoarding that “Let’s Do This” Card since I got it in the mail several SC Kits ago. It was perfect for this page – exactly what I wanted to convey without adding any extra distractions.
For Week 40, I used a 12×12 group photo of me, my sponsored kids, and their respective family members & teachers on the left side, and stuck with a few more hoarded cards on the right. I also added just a tiny bit of journaling and updates on the right, just to capture the bare minimum of what I wanted to remember the week I returned.
- I went to talk to my mom’s class about my trip (they’d been following my adventure through a shared photo stream). When I got home, I realized that I didn’t take my house key with me. I was locked out for about an hour.
- Jager had to have a pre-trip visit to the vet to get an allergy shot – fun times.
